Our Story

Born Out of Hunger for the Reality of Christ

Kingdom Life Remnant was not built around a programme or a personality. It was born out of a genuine Spirit-led hunger for the reality of Christ; His life, His Kingdom, His fullness ~ expressed in the lives of ordinary people willing to be set apart for something extraordinary.

The story begins with Isaac Mumo, widely known as PriestKing Mumo, who was born and raised in the Christ Co-Workers Fellowship Church (Chrisco) in Mombasa, Kenya. Shaped by a foundation of Word, prayer, and community, Isaac grew in his understanding of the Kingdom of God and the centrality of Christ in all things. It was this burning conviction that would become the bedrock of everything that followed.

"God is intentional about the people He places in community with one another. Your arrival here is not accidental."

In the course of God's sovereign design, Isaac led Rachael to saving faith in Jesus Christ. What began as one man's testimony became a shared calling. Isaac and Rachael, now united as husband and wife, found that God had placed the same fire in both of them ~ a fire for the Word, for discipleship, for the restoration of families, and for reaching the lost with the transforming power of the gospel.

Rachael brought with her a gifting and calling as a Christian Marriage and Relationship Counselor ~ a ministry that would become a defining pillar of Kingdom Life Remnant. Together, they carry a vision not just for individual salvation, but for the restoration of marriages, families, and homes under the Lordship of Christ.

From a women's ministry that God used as the seed, Kingdom Life Remnant grew ~ drawing in men, couples, families, and seekers from across Kenya and beyond. Bible studies became discipleship communities. Prayer meetings became global gatherings. A local Spirit-led initiative became an international fellowship united by one unshakeable conviction: Christ in you is the hope of glory.

Isaac & Rachael Mumo

PriestKing Mumo Isaac is a minister of the gospel, a lecturer, and a businessman, raised in Chrisco Mombasa and anchored in a life of prayer and the Word. He carries a deep apostolic burden for sound doctrine, Kingdom formation, and the raising of a generation that truly knows who they are in Christ.

Rachael Mumo is a minister of the gospel, a Christian Marriage and Relationship Counselor, and a businesswoman. Her calling centres on restoration; identity, marriages, and families ~ through the revelation of Christ and the healing power of the Holy Spirit.

Together they serve as the founding servants of Kingdom Life Remnant, leading not from position but from devotion ~ devoted to God, to each other, and to the people God has entrusted to their care.

Formation Not Just Information

Our focus is formation; establishing believers in their identity in Christ, grounding them in sound apostolic doctrine, and equipping them to function as priests, sons, and co-workers in God's Kingdom. We gather to teach, disciple, and activate.

We carry a specific burden for the restoration of marriages, families, and homes. We believe the family is the primary discipleship unit of the Kingdom, and we are committed to seeing Christ as the foundation of every covenant relationship.

Through online platforms including KLR247.COM/LIVE, we carry the gospel to the nations. This gospel of the Kingdom will be preached to all the earth ~ and we are committed to being part of that global witness through the power of the Spirit.

Statement of Faith

What We Stand On

We are rooted in the revelation of Jesus Christ. Our doctrine is Christ-centred, Spirit-led, and Scripture-grounded. These are not mere theological positions ~ they are the living convictions upon which this fellowship is built and by which we govern our lives, our teaching, and our community.

Article I

The Holy Scriptures

We believe the Bible ~ both Old and New Testaments ~ is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. It is the complete and final revelation of God's will for humanity, sufficient for all matters of faith, doctrine, and godly living. Scripture alone is our supreme authority.

"All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness." ~ 2 Timothy 3:16

Article II

The Holy Trinity

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three fully equal and co-eternal persons: God the Father, God the Son (Jesus Christ), and God the Holy Spirit. Each person is fully God, distinct in person yet one in essence, nature, and purpose. The Godhead is the foundation of all creation and redemption.

"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit." ~ Matthew 28:19

Article III

The Lord Jesus Christ

We believe in the full deity and true humanity of Jesus Christ. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, died on the cross as the atoning sacrifice for our sins, rose bodily from the dead, ascended to the right hand of the Father, and will return in glory. He is the only Saviour and Lord of all.

"For in him the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily." ~ Colossians 2:9

Article IV

Salvation by Grace Through Faith

We believe that all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Salvation is the gift of God; received by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. No human effort, works, or merit can secure eternal life. Repentance toward God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ are the conditions of salvation.

"For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God." ~ Ephesians 2:8

Article V

The Believer's Identity in Christ

We believe that every born again believer is united with Christ; in His death, resurrection, and ascension. The believer is a new creation, indwelt by the Holy Spirit, and seated with Christ in heavenly places. Our identity is not found in the flesh but in Christ. We are sons of God, priests before the Father, and ambassadors of His Kingdom.

"It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me." ~ Galatians 2:20

Article VI

The Holy Spirit

We believe in the person and present-day ministry of the Holy Spirit. He convicts the world of sin, regenerates the believer at new birth, indwells every believer permanently, empowers for godly living and service, and distributes spiritual gifts for the building up of the body of Christ. We believe in the full, present-day ministry of the Spirit in all His fullness ~ including the gifts of the Spirit as described in 1 Corinthians 12.

"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you." ~ Acts 1:8

Article VII

The Church | Body of Christ

We believe in the universal Church; the body of Christ, comprising all true believers across every nation, tribe, and tongue. The local expression of the Church exists to worship God, teach the Word, disciple believers, and demonstrate the Kingdom of God on the earth. We are not a denomination but a community of believers united by Christ Himself.

"And he is the head of the body, the church." ~ Colossians 1:18

Article VIII

The Kingdom of God

We believe the Kingdom of God is both a present reality and a future consummation. Jesus declared that the Kingdom is at hand. Believers are called to live as Kingdom citizens now ~ demonstrating the righteousness, peace, and joy of the Kingdom through the power of the Holy Spirit, in every sphere of influence. The Kingdom is not limited to the church building; it is wherever the King reigns.

"For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking but of righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit." ~ Romans 14:17

Article IX

The Priesthood of Every Believer

We believe that every born again believer is a priest and son or daughter of God. There is no spiritual hierarchy between clergy and laity in the body of Christ. Every member is called, gifted, and sent to minister. We are all ministers of reconciliation and co-workers with Christ in His redemptive purposes. The fivefold ministry serves to equip the saints, not replace them.

"But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession." ~ 1 Peter 2:9

Article X

Resurrection and the Return of Christ

We believe in the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ and in the resurrection of all the dead; the saved to eternal life in the presence of God, and the unsaved to eternal separation from God. We believe in the personal, visible, and glorious return of the Lord Jesus Christ in power and great glory, as He promised and as the Scriptures declare.

"Jesus said to her, I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live." ~ John 11:25

Article XI

Marriage and Family

We believe that marriage is a sacred covenant established by God between one man and one woman, reflecting the covenant relationship between Christ and His Church. The family is the foundational unit of society and the primary place of discipleship. We are committed to building strong, Christ centred marriages and families through sound biblical teaching, counselling, and community ~ and to the restoration of homes that have been broken.

"Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh." ~ Genesis 2:24

Pneumatology

We Are a Holy Spirit-Filled Community

Kingdom Life Remnant is unashamedly a Spirit filled fellowship. We believe the Holy Spirit is not a blessing locked in the past confined to the pages of the Book of Acts. He is a present and active Person at work in every believer, every gathering, and every generation of the Church until Christ returns.

We do not seek the gifts of the Spirit as an end in themselves. We seek the Giver ~ and where the Giver is truly welcomed and honoured, the gifts flow naturally. Every ministry we carry, every prayer meeting we hold, every sermon preached, and every counselling session offered is conducted under the dependence and direction of the Holy Spirit.

We hold to the full Pentecostal and apostolic heritage of the early Church, as recorded in the Book of Acts. The same Spirit who descended at Pentecost, who empowered the apostles, who raised the dead and opened blind eyes, is the same Spirit present in our midst today. Nothing has been withdrawn. Nothing has expired. The fire is still falling.

We also believe that the Spirit works through order. He does not produce confusion but peace. Our gatherings are Spirit led and Word grounded; we expect the supernatural within the context of sound doctrine, mutual accountability, and apostolic oversight.

The Spirit makes the believer a new creation at the new birth; not an improved version of the old nature, but a genuinely new person, born from above.

Indwelling & Filling

Every believer is indwelt by the Spirit permanently. We also believe in the ongoing experience of being filled with the Spirit; again and again, for bold witness and Kingdom service.

We believe in and practice the spiritual gifts described in 1 Corinthians 12 and Romans 12; including prophecy, healing, tongues, words of knowledge and wisdom ~ all governed by love and order.

Illumination of the Word

The Spirit is the primary teacher of Scripture. We depend on His illumination to move us beyond intellectual knowledge into living revelation; the kind that transforms, not merely informs.

Mission & Witness

The Spirit empowers witness ~ Acts 1:8. Every form of outreach we carry, from daily prayer to online gospel platforms, is powered by His presence, not human strategy alone.

The Spirit prays through us with groanings too deep for words (Romans 8:26). Our 3 AM daily prayer gatherings are an expression of this; Spirit led intercession for nations, families, and the Church.

Our Character

Apostolic in Foundation. Prophetic in Vision. Priestly in Life.

Kingdom Life Remnant carries what we believe is an apostolic mandate for this generation. We use the word apostolic not to denote a title or a hierarchical structure, but to describe a quality of foundation; one that is rooted in the teaching of the apostles (Acts 2:42), centred on the person of Christ, governed by the Word, and empowered by the Spirit.

We believe the Church of the 21st century must be as theologically grounded and as spiritually alive as the Church of the 1st century. Sound doctrine without the fire of the Spirit produces dead orthodoxy. Spiritual fervour without the anchor of sound doctrine produces dangerous instability. Kingdom Life Remnant is committed to holding both ~ the lamp of the Word and the oil of the Spirit ~ together, in the same hand, at the same time.

We also carry a prophetic heart ~ a sensitivity to what the Spirit is saying to the Church in this hour. We are not content to be caretakers of what God has done. We are called to be carriers of what He is doing and what He is about to do. And we are priestly in our daily life; living as those who stand before God on behalf of the people, and before the people on behalf of God.

Scripture is our final authority. Every teaching, every decision, every practice is accountable to the Word of God.

We depend entirely on the Holy Spirit; for conviction, revelation, power, and direction. We do not lead by strategy alone.

Kingdom Life Remnant began in Mombasa, Kenya ~ but it was never meant to stay there. From the very beginning, the mandate that God placed on Isaac and Rachael Mumo carried a global weight: to raise a remnant that carries Kingdom life across every boundary of language, culture, and geography.

Through our online platforms ~ including live gatherings at KLR247.COM/LIVE ~ we host believers from across Kenya, Africa, Europe, North America, and the wider diaspora. Our daily 3 AM prayer meetings, Sunday fellowships, and Bible studies are attended by people spanning multiple time zones, united by one Spirit and one Lord.

"And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come." | Matthew 24:14

We believe that Acts 1:8 is still being written. The promise ~ "you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth" ~ is not a historical record alone. It is a present assignment. Technology has placed more reach in the hands of ordinary believers than any generation in history. We intend to use it fully for the glory of God and the advance of His Kingdom.
